How long between the time I order and the time it arrives to my doorstep?
Each mattress is individually made per order which takes about 2 to 3 business days. Shipping transit is between 2 and 4 business days. So, the average order process time is usually under 7 business days.
What is the size and weight of this package that I’m going to receive?
The actual box itself will be around 17” x 17” x 45” and range between 40 and 100 pounds.
Do I need to take a day off work to sign for this package?
Not at all. Our goal is to make your shopping experience as easy as possible. If you don’t trust the package sitting on your porch or if you prefer to sign for it, then just contact us or leave a note at checkout.
Can I do expedited shipping?
At this time, we are not offering expedited shipping, but you can always reach out and contact us to see if we are able to offer any options.
Can I make changes to an existing order?
You will want to contact us right away so we can grab your order before it ships out. Let us know what changes you need to make and we will do our best to help you along.
Can I stop by your store and pick one up?
At this time, all sales are generated online. Each mattress is made custom for each individual order so we do not have overhead generating inventory. Keeping these costs down allows us to pass a huge amount of savings on to you, the customer.
Why do I have to pay a recycling fee in certain states?
California, Connecticut, and Rhode Island have passed Mattress Recovery and Recycling Acts requiring a fee to be collected from consumers when purchasing a mattress or box spring. (This list may change without notice).
What type of frame do you suggest to support my Amore mattress?
We suggest as much support as possible, which includes: box springs, foundations, slatted bases, platform beds, waterbed bases, electric bed bases, or even the floor. We recommend that when using slats, they should be less than 4” apart and that queen bed frames have a center support. If you already have a box spring foundation setup, you can use them with this mattress as well. Although other setups may work, we have found that these frames provide the best support to get the maximum comfort. If you are looking for an affordable solution, check out our FOUNDATION or visit our SHOP page too add to your cart.
What is your mattress made out of?
Our mattress is made from the highest quality materials found in the industry and blended together to offer the utmost premium comfort. The materials consist of a graphite-Latex hybrid foam that offers incredible pressure relief and support all while simultaneously maintaining breathability to keep you cool and comfortable. The new graphite latex material offers 100% pressure-relieving properties that rid the mattress of heat, keeping your sleeping environment perfectly suited to your needs.
Our Therapeutic Copper Ion Option is designed to offer skin wellness by combating bacteria which aids in skin rejuvenation.
What are the specifications of your layers?
Amore beds’ 4 premium layers consist of the finest supportive materials in the market today. We start with a 2″ ultra-high-density structural base layer that supports 4″ of individually wrapped comfort-coils. There are about 885 of 4″ pocketed coils in a queen mattress consisting of 14.5 gauge wire to provide continuous comfort that will stand the test of time. These coils are surrounded by supportive edging that helps the active sleeper subconsciously know where the edge of the mattress is (all without reducing sleeping surface area). Above that is another 4″ of polyfoam optimized for pressure points and comfort (we do not use chemicals or gels in our foams. Our cooling occurs naturally). Our prized 1″ Talalay graphite infused latex makes up our top layer that works in harmony with the rest of our layers. Each layer of your Amore Bed hybrid mattress has been specifically designed and engineered to exceed the most demanding of standards and expectations.
The Densities of all our foams are 1.8. Indentation Load Deflection (ILD) for Soft is 22, Medium is 28, Firm is 35, and Base & Rails are 40. The Talalay Latex is 19 ILD.
Why do you only offer an 11” mattress?
If you look closely at those 12”, 14”, and 18” mattresses in the big-box stores, you will see that they are only made of 1, 2, or 3 layers of cheap and unsupportive foam. Most of the time you will see that they only difference is that they made the base foam thicker. It’s one of the cheaper layers which is why you see others offering a 8-½”, 10”, and 12” base foam with a 1.5” top. We offer a premium density 2” base layer to ensure ours is supportive for all shapes and sizes to feel the difference of what real premium layers can do for you.
Why do you have 4 different layers?
Each layer of material is there for a reason and adds another level of designed support. Additional layers generally cost more, so if you see a single layer of 14” foam selling at a premium price, beware because it will not last long or it will be very comfortable. A 2-layer mattress is like putting a band-aid on the flaws from the 1st layer. 3-layer designs are where recognizable comfort only begins. 4 layers are where the highly engineered premium designs really shin through. Anything over 4 layers will offer minimal benefits at a premium price. Be careful not to fall for the four layer designs where the so-called premium top layer is only 1”. All of AmoreBeds’ layers consist of the highest quality premium materials available in the industry.
Why would I buy a mattress that I can’t test out in the store?
If you go to a store and touch it and lay on it for 5, 10, or 30 minutes, are you really testing-it-out?
With our mattress, you get to test it out by sleeping on it for 100 nights risk-free.
Why do you offer different firmness levels and combinations?
We don’t believe that one firmness level will work for everyone out there. Whether you prefer a firmer or softer bed, we don’t want to tell you what you will or will not like. That’s why we offer options and combinations of those options. If you prefer a soft bed and your partner likes a firm bed, then you can choose that with our split option. Don’t settle for something because you’re told “most” people like it. People’s shapes, sizes, and preferences are different and our mattress designs will accommodate that.
Why are the other guys saying that you offer too many confusing choices?
That’s likely a scare tactic that so many others use who only offer one choice. We have found that people like options, so if our firmness options get confusing, simply fill out our survey and give our recommendation a try.
What is this "Therapeutic Copper" option?
Copper has been known for centuries to have Antibacterial and Antimicrobial properties. When its ionic properties are combined with fabric, it creates a healthier environment for the sleeper by aiding in numerous benefits such as reducing odor, improving hygiene, and enhancing the look & feel of their skin. Since similar material is used for medical braces, dressings, and sports apparel, we thought we would offer a chance for many of the benefits to continue while you sleep.
Can I just sleep in your bed (with copper) instead of taking vitamins or wearing my prescribed medical products?
No, our Copper Option is not designed to supplement vitamins or override prescriptions or the advice from your medical professional.
Do I have the chance of too much copper exposure from Amore's Copper Option?
Although there are some diseases out there resulting from too much copper, they are linked to gene dysfunctions or too much soluble copper ingested directly into the blood stream. The copper ions in our fabric are non-soluble and in a low enough dosage where if the human body absorbs excess copper that is not put to use, it will be harmlessly expelled naturally.
Can I split the Copper Option with the Dual Firmness Option?
Sorry, at this time it’s all or none. Why would you want to split such a great option anyway?
Do I need to sleep in the nude to get the benefits from the copper ion technology option?
Sleeping in the nude is completely up to you, but it will not significantly affect the copper ion exposure. Of course the manufacturer does state that the closer it is to the skin, the better. Although, the benefits of having the “Copper Option” covered with sheets and pajamas is still better than not having it at all.
I heard that this copper can help with my sleep apnea and my husband’s snoring, is this true?
There are studies in progress that have shown incredible results, but as of right now, we cannot make that claim. The FDA has not given their approval yet.
Do you ever have sales or promotions?
Our profit margins are very thin, so we do not offer any discounts unless our material suppliers offer us discounts. A customizable mattress like this will cost well over $3500 in a retail store.
Does weight affect my mattress firmness selection?
If you weigh over 250 pounds, we would typically recommend going with our “Amore Firm” option.
Can I use this with an adjustable frame or on a Murphy bed?
Of course. We use American standard sizes and our mattresses are flexible enough to work with most of the adjustable bases out there.
What are the sizes of your mattresses?
Our mattresses conform to industry standard sizes which are approximately: W x L x H
Twin: 39” x 75” x 10”
Twin XL: 39” x 80” x 10”
Full: 54” x 75” x 10”
Queen: 60” x 80” x 10”
King: 76” x 80” x 10”
Cal-King: 72” x 84” x 10”
Can I use this mattress on a sofa bed?
Unfortunately, we would not recommend that. Although our mattress is flexible, it should not be folded in half or forcefully recompressed after being removed from the original packaging.
Is there a break-in period?
Typically, you can sleep on your mattress within an hour from unboxing it, but it can take up to 30 days for your body and mattress to acclimate to each other.
How long will this mattress last?
Although this mattress is built to last well over 20 years, we suggest that everyone replace their mattresses every 7-10 years.
Do you offer a Short Queen or other custom sized mattresses?
Absolutely, but that’s something that you will need to contact us about.
Does your mattress isolate movement?
Absolutely! Although it offers significantly more isolation than your traditional spring mattress, I wouldn’t suggest rolling around with a glass of wine balancing next to you.
Hey, what’s your sales pitch that tells me to pick yours over someone else’s?
Sorry, we don’t have any flashy sales pitches. We also don’t make empty promises or run expensive over-inflated gimmicky ads. I guess you could say that our pitch is: Honesty, reliability, innovation, and good communication.
Do I need to flip my mattress?
Nope! Our mattresses are designed to have the white fabric side up at all times. We do recommend rotating it every 3 to 6 months, but if you chose our “Split Option” you will need to switch sides to keep your selected firmness level. Regular rotating is a good practice to adjust weight distribution patterns.
Do I need special sheets or sizes?
Not at all. Save yourself some money because you don’t need extra deep pocketed sheets or any custom sizes. Visit our Shop Page and click on the mattress to view the sizes.
Is my mattress going to smell?
Like most new items, there will be a mild (non-toxic) smell upon unboxing. The scent should dissipate quickly. We do not use solvents associated with strong odors. We use premium solvents that get applied by atomizing microscopic droplets. This process allows us to use less glue so it doesn’t hamper our ultra-breathable design. Compared to other mattresses out there, the faint smell is virtually non-existent.
Do I need to save the box?
No, but we would like you to consider recycling the box and packaging. Rather than shipping it back to us, we work together with multiple charities so that it can be donated locally.
What is your return policy?
We offer a 100-night sleep trial. If you don’t like your mattress, then we will accept a free / no-hassle return. We hope you will still provide great feedback, so we strive to make your return process as painless as possible. Simply shoot us an email to start the return process.
